Register Early for a Chance to Attend the Intimate President's Reception

Register early (by August 1st) for the 2018 IPBC for a chance to attend a special President's Reception honoring perinatal bereavement pioneers. This special event is an intimate gathering designed to provide a time and space to honor those who came before us.

These pioneers helped establish standards of relationship-based perinatal bereavement care for professionals, the rights of parents when a baby dies, and a robust parent support group model. In addition, they were all involved in creating educational conferences for professionals and parent advocates that set the stage for the formation of PLIDA, the only perinatal bereavement membership organization in North America. One or more of these well-known pioneers have been involved in planning and/or speaking at the current and past 20 international perinatal bereavement conferences.

The President’s Reception will take place on Thursday, October 25th at 5:30 PM in the Presidential Suite onsite at the conference hotel. Reception includes hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar. Those honored represent two of the founding organizations of PLIDA, but whose history in this field pre-date PLIDA by several decades. Guests of honor include Drs. Rana Limbo and Sara Wheeler (Resolve Through Sharing) and Catherine Lammert and Sr. Jane Marie Lamb (in memoriam)(Share 1977).
