The location for the PLIDA conference is Union Station, which is a St. Louis icon that continues to reinvent intself. The first train pulled into Union Station on September 2, 1894, embracing and welcoming an exciting and new time for St. Louis. Known as the gateway to the West, St. Louis’ Union Station became one of the largest and busiest passenger rail terminals in the world. Today, Union Station offers a balance of nostalgia and renovation, along with beautiful historical features including stained glass windows, wooden carpentry detailing, and original terrazzo flooring. While at the Union Station, you have easy accessibility to downtown attractions nearby, like City Museum and the Gateway Arch grounds, and a flavor of downtown shops, restaurants, and attractions.
